Greek Food History

To learn more about Greek Food, we must return to Ancient Greece. Its resemblance to the Mediterranean characterizes Greek Cuisine. Alexander the Great extended Greek’s reach from Europe to India, and on the way, more foods were adopted.

What’s surprising to many people is that the Greek diet has changed very little throughout the years. More herbs and spices came to Greece via trade, and thus, Greek and Turkish foods became similar. When you go on vacation to Greece, you’ll also find great-tasting stews, meats, and more. Greek patrons enjoy meats from goats and lambs more than beef from cows.
