They offer a variety of coffee roasts, and the friendly environment makes the Villa Perk a great place to study and work. The interior is decorated with modern lighting and chic furniture. My favorite thing about this new cafe in Villa Park is its pastries and lattes, specifically the vanilla option.

Taco Maya 

Taco Maya offers a modern twist to traditional Mexican food in Downers Grove, IL. The relaxed-style restaurant features delicious burritos, tacos, and specialty cocktails. One thing that makes this place a popular new pick is its unique salsas. A growing number of restaurants are opening up by Taco Maya, but this location is inside the Butterfield Plaza. It’s worth noting that this Mexican restaurant has plenty of tasty vegetarian options.

Lotus Banh Mi

A new Vietnamese restaurant opened in Oak Brook, IL, Lotus Banh Mi. This place will become an instant favorite, from pork noodle salads to delicious pho. The interior aesthetics include minimal design with the wall panels featuring pottery and pictures. Sandwiches are one of the most popular items on the menu, including Belly Classic, Sunny-Side Beef, and Ginger Chicken.

Five O Four Kitchen

Five 0 Four Kitchen is a unique culinary destination in Glen Ellyn, IL that combines American and international traditions to create a bold and unforgettable dining experience. Everything is made in-house, including bread, pasta, burgers, and butchered protein sources.

Heading toward the southern suburbs, a new seafood restaurant opened its doors in Plainfield, IL. Their menu is extensive and has a lot of premium choices like Red Snapper and Groupers. Get a taste of land animals, too, via their fried chicken. The restaurant also is known for its macaroni and cheese. If you’re near this area, you must try Land Sea & Soul, which was outstanding!
