Did Ditka’s Restaurant in Chicago Close?
Ditka’s made the difficult decision to permanently close their Chicago location. However, they still have a restaurant in Oakbrook, IL, about 40 minutes from the city. The famed “Da Coach” restaurant has resided in the Gold Coast Chicago neighborhood for over 20 years.
In a statement, management has stated the following:
We have made the extremely difficult decision to close our Chicago restaurant due to the economic impact of COVID-19 and the short term left on our lease. We will continue to pursue future opportunities to open restaurants in Chicago and other locations.
We have enjoyed serving our guests at our downtown location for the past two decades. We would like to thank our Team and vendors for their dedication and support.

Ditka’s Restaurant Review
Ditka’s restaurant in Oakbrook, IL served us well and quickly seated us. After the server asked for our drinks, he proceeded to let us know the specials. We ordered cocktails that were tasty, entrees that were delicious, and the views were not bad! Sitting aside by a highway, the restaurant really shows class during our lunch.
Me and my companion ordered the Berkshire Pork Chop which ended up perfect in temperature. Accompanied with creamy mashed potatoes, I was anxious for the next meal. Ofcourse, it was lunch and I was feeling simple, so I ordered the breakfast combo. All in all, Ditka’s Restaurant in Oakbrook, IL is a total recommendation for us!
