Eleven City Diner in Chicago was opened in 2006, so it is 17 years old today, August 26, 2023. The diner is owned by Brad Rubin, who also owns Eleven Lincoln Park, a sister restaurant located in Lincoln Park. Rubin is a native Chicagoan who grew up loving diners and delis. The building was once home to a printing press and then a bank. Rubin restored the building to its original Art Deco style and decorated the interior with vintage diner memorabilia.
