Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups half and half milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup ground grits
  • ½ cup salted butter
  • 3 tbsp Heavy whipping cream
  • ½ tsp Kosher salt

Method
 

  1. Add milk and water to a large pot over medium high heat. Bring up to a boil and add some salt.
  2. Once liquid starts boiling, stir in grits and bring down heat to low. Cover with lid.
  3. Cook for 20 minutes, occasionally stir.
  4. Once thick, stir in butter and heavy cream. Season with salt and serve.
