Gravy Recipe

This secret gravy recipe seriously impress others due to it's fast cooking time. Use both chicken AND beef stock cubes for more flavor. Beef adds color and flavor, chicken is the base flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 2 cups water
  • 5 tbsp all purpose flour
  • ¾ tsp onion powder
  • tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Boil water in a small pot, crush cubes to mix / dissolve in water.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Add flour, onion powder, and pepper to butter mixture. Whisk with a spoon.
  4. Pour in half the water and stir into flour mixture. Slowly pour the rest of the water into the mixture.
  5. Stir for 2 minutes until mixture thickens into gravy. Taste, and add salt if desired.
  6. Serve.
