GT Prime takes “Steakhouse” to a whole new level with their awe inspiring decor and food. The Chicago restaurant opened its doors in 2016 by Chef Giuseppe Tentori. Tentori is responsible for GT Fish & Oyster, Boka, and Charlie Trotter. He also built the Boka Restaurant Group, which invests in many restaurants.
Many continue to say that GT Prime Restaurant is a “reinvention of the steakhouse” due to its black interior with modern greyscale seats. Dining in here almost feels like you’re in Game Of Thrones with a prestige touch. One of the popular aesthetics with GT Prime is the 12 foot high doors accompanying the front of the restaurant.

The Famous GT Prime Steak (Wagyu, Dry-Aged, Bison)
It is not always common to find such a variety of steak cuts in Chicago. Being a busy city, GT Prime took advantage of it’s connections with top of the line steaks from locations as far as Australia. One of their most famous steaks is the 30-day dry-aged steak.
GT Prime’s ribeye, bison tenderloin, and prime rib prove to be popular at the restaurant as well. There’s also duck tenderloins available for anyone who’s feeling a nice duck leg. Make sure you take your friends to this fine dining experience in Chicago.

My GT Prime Review in Chicago, IL
Visiting GT Prime during NYE weekend was certainly difficult as reservations were tight. We managed to book a reservation but it was so packed inside that it reminded me of pre-COVID era. Although the restaurant was quite busy, we loved the aesthetics and the all black interior of the place.
Our waitress greeted us quickly and casually explained the concepts behind the restaurant. She then described the cuts of steaks and proceeded to get us drinks. We ordered the Maine Lobster, Bison Tenderloin, Bone-In Prime Filet Mignon, and several sides along with cocktails. As expected, the steaks were amazingly juicy and tender just how I like them. My spouse loved the Full Sized Lobster and we both were extremely satisfied with the food. This restaurant is definitely top 10 material as we venture into Chicago.
