Monk’s Pub Review

Monk's Pub unique exterior in between buildings

A restaurant worth stopping for in Chicago Loop is Monk’s Pub. One of my favorite times to come here is during happy hour. Monk’s Pub is decorated with German and Old English antiques, such as vintage books and wooden barrels. The Pub has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a popular spot for locals and tourists.

Monk’s Pub also features an extensive beer list with excellent IPA options. Not long ago, they allowed guests to throw peanut shells on the floor, which adds to the overall experience. The restaurant’s menu includes burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas. Look at our review guide to learn all the information you need about Monk’s Pub

Monk’s Pub has a rich history that embodies a welcoming atmosphere. There are many comments on how the restaurant will have plenty of peanut shells on the floor. Like their beer, Monk’s interior is decorated in a traditional Belgian style, including wood paneling. One of my favorite things about this bar is their friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The History Behind Monk’s Pub

Monk’s Pub is a popular pub located in the Loop neighborhood of Chicago. It has been in business since 1978 and is known for its extensive beer selection, which includes over 120 beers on tap. Monk’s Pub also has a full food menu, which includes burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pizzas.

The Pub is named after the monastery where the owner, John Shaker, visited when he was a young boy. Shaker was inspired by the monastery’s atmosphere and wanted to create a pub that would be a “home away from home” for beer lovers.
